About Les Inrockuptibles
Les Inrockuptibles, routinely nicknamed Les Inrocks, is a French and Argentine cultural magazine. Started as a monthly magazine in 1986, it became weekly in 1995. The name is a play on “Les Incorruptibles”, the French title of the American television series The Untouchables. In the beginning, rock music was the magazine’s primary focus, though every issue included articles on other artistic domains. Currently, many other topics are tackled: cinema, books, society, etc.
The magazine was instrumental in popularising indie rock music with bands such as the Smiths and The House of Love in France and Francophone countries.
